One of Omega’s projects is drilling water wells and installing pumps to provide safe drinking water for villages in India. The lack of clean and safe drinking water in the villages around the city of Vijayawada is a serious problem, and many villagers become ill after drinking contaminated and bacteria-infested water from rivers and canals. Typhoid, cholera and other intestinal infections are widespread. For only $800.00, we can drill a well and install a hand pump which will provide enough drinking water for a whole village.
